Important Information for Your Stay at Terre de Sacha

Please read this email carefully as it contains important information about your time here at TdS, including instructions on how to secure your reservation.

For nearly three decades, Terre de Sacha has been saturated with the Divine Light of the Gayatri Mantra. This is our offering to the world. May your stay benefit you profoundly. When you depart from Terre de Sacha, you carry the blessings you have gathered to those who surround your life.

 

A Few Things to Consider:

  • Housekeeping: There are no housekeeping services at Terre de Sacha. We all pitch in with cooking and cleaning, just like at home.
  • Kitchen: The kitchen is our temple. One way we honour this is by remaining silent while in the kitchen and dining area. If you must communicate as part of your cooking seva, please do so quietly.
  • Food: Food is Prasad—blessed. Our meals are simple, designed to be easy on the gathering; we are not able to accommodate special diets. For the most part, we can accommodate gluten-free meals, but please bring your own bread and cookies. In most instances, we are also able to accommodate allergies.
  • Footwear: Single-strapped rubber-bottom “slider” shoes, also known as beach or sauna shoes, must be worn in the kitchen. Please bring an appropriate pair with you. (For more information, visit TdS Shoes). Shoes are otherwise not permitted inside.
  • Weather: The weather can change quickly at TdS. Be sure to bring a flashlight (torch), sunhat, and warm clothes. While work clothes are available, you may also wish to bring clothing suitable for gardening and working outside. Many prefer to bring their own work and garden gloves.
  • Bedding and Towels: Bedding is provided, but you will need to bring a towel. Please also bring organic, biodegradable soap and shampoo.
  • Laundry: Laundry may not be available, so please bring enough clothes for the duration of your stay. If laundry is permitted, there will be a small fee for use.
  • Travel Arrangements: Pickup and drop-off options are only available on the first and last dates of the Gatherings. Please do not make travel arrangements that do not align with these dates without approval from Indro. Prior approval is also required for anyone driving, as arriving mid-Gathering is not always possible.

Donations

Just like all of ShantiMayi’s work, Terre de Sacha is supported by donation. Your donation is used to buy food, materials, utility bills, and to cover the costs of maintaining and necessary repair work on the property throughout the year.

 

 

The minimum donation to cover food and accommodation is 560 euros for the two-week block. Please be sure to mark that your donation is for your TdS stay. A separate donation to ShantiMayi for Offerings, including Satsangs, Intensives, Meditations, and private meetings, separate from the one above, will be made at the end of your stay.

The daily program 

8  am Gayatri in Mandir 

9  am Breakfast 

10 am Light the candle in Shantimayi’s room. give the birds  breakfast and 10 minutes meditation

2 pm Lunch 

6 pm 45 minutes video with Shantimayi from Monday to  Friday

7 pm Evening supper.
