Important Information for Your Stay at Terre de Sacha

Dear [booker_name],

Please read this email carefully as it contains important information about your time here at TdS, including instructions on how to secure your reservation.

For nearly two decades, Terre de Sacha has been saturated with the Divine Light of the Gayatri Mantra. This is our offering to the world. Our spiritual discipline is simply our way of being. Therefore, how we are when we are here with friends and family is not only a practice, but it is also an offering to the Sanctuary and to each other. How we are in our daily life IS our ‘way’. May your stay benefit you profoundly. When you depart from Terre de Sacha, you carry the blessings you have gathered to those who surround your life.

A Few Things to Consider:

  • Housekeeping: Terre de Sacha is maintained by the people who visit. We require everyone to keep their rooms clean and tidy, with beds made before breakfast. There are no housekeeping services—everyone pitches in with cooking, cleaning, and maintenance, just like at home.
  • Kitchen: The kitchen is a temple. We ask that all those in the kitchen remain in silence. If talking is necessary for food preparation, please do so quietly. Food is Prasad—blessed. Our meals are vegetarian and simple, designed to be easy on the Gathering. Special diets cannot be accommodated, though we typically offer gluten-free meals. If needed, please bring your own bread and cookies. We can usually accommodate allergies as well.
  • Footwear: Single-strapped rubber-bottom “slider” shoes, also known as beach or sauna shoes, must be worn in the kitchen. Please bring an appropriate pair with you. (For more information, visit www.shantimayi.com/tds-shoes.   Shoes are otherwise not permitted inside.
  • Weather: The weather can change quickly at TdS. Be sure to bring a flashlight (torch), sunhat, and warm clothes. While work clothes are available, you may also wish to bring clothing suitable for gardening and working outside. Many prefer to bring their own work and garden gloves. We ask that you dress modestly here.
  • Bedding and Towels: Bedding is provided, but you will need to bring a towel. Please also bring organic, biodegradable soap and shampoo. Laundry may not be available, so bring enough clothes for the duration of your stay. If laundry is permitted, there will be a small fee for use.
  • Water Conservation: We ask that you conserve water as much as possible. Use the compost toilet (flush toilets are available during the evenings), minimize waste while washing, and shower only once per day.
  • Travel Arrangements: Pickup and drop-off options are only available on the first and last dates of the Gatherings. Please do not make travel arrangements that do not align with these dates without approval from Indro. Prior approval is also required for anyone driving, as arriving mid-Gathering is not always possible.
  • Contributions: Terre de Sacha is a refuge, a sacred dwelling where the blessings of nature and creative spirit flourish. We appreciate contributions of woodwork, gardening, or any skills that you may have to improve Terre de Sacha Nature Sanctuary. This kind of contribution will be considered in meetings with our resident manager, Indro.

Donations

Just like all of ShantiMayi’s work, Terre de Sacha is supported by donation. Your donation is used to buy food, materials, utility bills, and to cover the costs of maintaining and necessary repair work on the property throughout the year.

The minimum donation to cover food and accommodation is 560 euros for the two-week block. To secure your booking, we require a non-refundable donation of 50 euros, made within 3 business days, which will be deducted from your total. Instructions on how to make your donation are available at https://bookings.shantimayi.com/donation-for-upcoming-stay-at-tds/.

Donations to ShantiMayi for Offerings, including Satsangs, Intensives, Meditations, and private meetings (separate from the one above), are welcomed at the end of your stay.

While we will go over many of the guidelines and protocols and answer any questions upon your arrival, it may be helpful for you to familiarize yourself with them prior to your visit. To do so, please visit our guidelines at www.shantimayi.com/terre-de-sacha-guidelines.

REMEMBER…

It is very important to spend time in nature alone and with each other.

You enhance an atmosphere of grace and blessings because you care as you do.

Your Presence Here Is Truly Precious

Sitting or walking among the stones, along the streams and rivers, in the forests and through the mountains brings a message to our Mother Earth, that she is seen, loved, and appreciated.

Generosity is a great spiritual current, natural to nature. Like a free-flowing river that quickly returns to an oceanic heart.

Thank You for all you do to make Terre de Sacha Nature Sanctuary an excellent experience. This Sacred Place is Divine and a wonderful refuge.

ALWAYS ALWAYS WELCOME!
